RVNL Secures ₹179 Crore Signalling Contract from IRCON
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been awarded a ₹178.64 crore contract by IRCON International Limited for a signalling and telecommunications project. The scope includes supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment across multiple railway stations and sections.
RVNL shares showed modest gains, trading at ₹324.80 on NSE, up 0.22% from the previous close. Trading volume reached 33.21 lakh shares with a turnover of ₹108.54 crores.
The project involves installing Electronic Interlocking systems at 10 new stations and six Intermediate Block Signalling systems across key sections. A new Section Control System with train control communication equipment will be commissioned in the Gevra Road-Pendra Road section.
With an 11-month timeline including monsoon periods, the contract underscores RVNL's growing capabilities in critical railway infrastructure development.
